The Club

Given the stature of The Bluebird Cafe in the musical community, it is surprisingly small. We have only 21 tables available for reservations. However, for our early shows there are twenty-five spaces at the bar and on the benches that are on a first-come-first-served basis. Plan on getting here early for "big" shows.

You can make reservations online at: www.bluebirdcafe.com beginning at 8:00 am or, if you do not have internet access, we take reservations by phone beginning at 12:00 noon Central Time until 4:30 pm on Mondays and from 11:00 am until 4:30 pm Tuesday through Friday. To make a weekday reservation, you can go on online or call one week in advance (Tuesday for next Tuesday's show, Wednesday for next Wednesday). For Friday and Saturday reservations, go online beginning at 8:00 am or call Monday of the week of the shows, starting at noon. Sunday and Monday shows are generally first come, first serve.  Please have your credit card ready, we will need it to hold your reservation, though we won't charge anything to your card unless you cancel without letting us know.

Our number for reservations is: (615) 383-1461. Reservations are NOT accepted by e-mail or voicemail. You MUST go online or call. Our phones are very often busy, as we only have one phone line for reservations. Please keep trying, the phones are not out of order. Use your redial button, there is no hold for operator button on our system. We apologize for this inconvenience.

*Also, Bell South will offer to keep trying our line for a fee...DO NOT DO THIS!!  IT IS A WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!

Each seat at a table or the bar has a $7.00 per person food and / or drink minimum. Early shows have no cover - a great value for great entertainment. All main shows have a cover charge which goes directly to the performers.

We feature a varied menu of appetizers, hot & cold sandwiches, salads & daily hot specials, available until 10 pm. We open 5:30 pm Monday through Saturdays, 6 pm on Sundays.

In deference to the performers and your fellow customers, we have become a non-smoking club except on Mondays after 9 pm for Blues night, and at artist request. Please call to confirm that it is a non-smoking night to be sure. We do have an outdoor speaker and a window to watch through for all our smoking friends. And, we can't say it enough . . . Shhh!
